Yes, a few back when actress Manjima Mohan confirms the news on Twitter that she had been cast in the Malayalam remake of Bollywood film Queen, has now opened up about her role. Yesterday, at the official launch event of Queen remake ‘Zam Zam’, Manjima said that it was a challenging task to play Rani aka Kangana.

“I’m very excited about the role, but along with that, there’s so much responsibility that has come and a lot of pressure too. What Kangana did in the film was an outstanding performance and I don’t think me or any of the other actors will be able to rise up to her performance. But what we can do is to perform according to our own skill,” Manjima said.

She further added, “We can’t adapt everything from the film since the film is being made in the South and that too in Kerala. And so there are limitations and within that limit, I am trying to give my best.”

The actress was excited to be the part of the film, Zam Zam is also her second Malayalam film after Oru Vadakkan Selfie.
