Controversies around an upcoming film raise the excitement level more and also develop the interest to watch the film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film ‘Babumoshai Bandookbazz’ did the same with the audience. The film is an action thriller film directed by Kushan Nandy and produced by Ashmita Kunder and Kiran Shyam Shroff.
The film also features Bengali actress Badita Bag, who gave extremely sensuous scene with Nawaz. The film always remains into controversies, firstly it was when actress Chitrangada Singh walked out of the film due to script issue and then her role goes to Badita Bag.
The film’s shoot had gone well but the problems still not end yet. As the makers of the film launched the trailer which makes the hype. In the trailer we saw Siddiqui romancing her leading lady and also there are some steamy and bold scenes of the two.
The trailer caught the eyes of CBFC and when the time for the certificate arrives, CBFC granted the film with ‘A’ certificate. Not only this, Central Board of Film Certification also asked the makers for 48 cuts. But some how the matter resolves when the film got clearance by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) with eight ‘minor and voluntary cuts’. The star cast then got busy with the promotions.
Siddiqui has revealed a lot about the film and the intimate scenes with co-star Badita Bag in many interviews. The issues are not resolved yet, it has been recently reported that the film leaked online before its release.
According to a report in IB Times, several illegal websites are offering free online streaming of ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’. The print of the movie, however, is of poor quality. The leak is expected to hit the box office business of ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’. The report estimates the opening collection of the film to be around Rs 2 crore.
The film also has to face the Friday bloodbath as 10 more films are releasing this Friday, among it, ‘A Gentleman’ starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Siddharth Malhotra and ‘Qiadi Band’ is a big banner film. We wish the film a very good luck which is releasing tomorrow, August 25.
