Festive season is started and our quest for perfect outfit has begun. What to wear? What is in trends? Which colour suits me? Where to shop? etc. All these questions have already filled our minds and we know that how difficult it gonna be if you do not find outfit of your choice. So today will help you to dress like Bollywood this Navratri season.
The extended festival of Navratri
As we all know Navratri is a nine day long extended festival and no festival is complete without food, dance, party and dressing up. Nowadays Navratri is being celebrated in form of party, graba nights and Durga Pujo pandals gatterings, where we go eat, meet new people, dance, and party. This is a modernized-traditional way to get socialize and enjoy in the world of social media. So let’s get started, as we have to prep for all the nine days.
What all we can choose?
So bright colours and drama is all you need to add to your outfits. You can go for saree, lehenga, sharara, ghagra, kurta and palazzos, salwar suit, jacket with a skirt, extended dresses, layered dresses, dhoti salwars, crop top with lehengas, experiment with indo western stuff, team up, etc. There are plenty of things you can choose and look different on all nine days.
Pick the brights and blings
Bright colours are so in, so do not hestitate to choose colours like hot pink, red, yellow, mustard, brighter shades of blues and greens, silver and gold. Keep it suttle but don’t hesitate to add bling to it. You can add bling to your look by experimenting with accessories, jwelery and footwears.
Garba and Pujo
The benefits of being a citizen of secular nation, we enjoy all cultures and festivals. We all know that in North we celebrate Navrati by observing fast and then there is Dusshera, in Gujrat, there is garba and dandiya, in Bengal Durga Puja is celebrated and we love to taste all the flavours. So if you are going for Garba or Dandiya night choose a bandani or Gujrati outfit like lehenga, for Durga Puja the traditional white red or white gold saree works well.
Jewelry, accessory and all
So if you are going for normal bright lehenga team it with maang tika and jumkas, if you’re choosing saree how about adding big jhumkis, bindi and gajra to your look, opting for bandini outfit we suggest to opt for silver and oxidised jewellery. If attending a get-together, go for a long layered dress with a good pair of heels, a sling bag, statement ring and earings.
Experiments are must
So want to stand out in the crowd, experiment with your looks. Team your saree with a crop top, a kurta or a shirt, use crop top with lehenga or plazzos, you can also team your kurti with a traditional skirt or your plain bright colour off shoulder top with a skirt and wear that statement neck piece you are dying to wear from long.
Golds and silvers
Golds and silver never go wrong an ivory outfit with gold or silver jewelry, duppata, footwear, etc.. works quite well. A subtle gold outfit never goes wrong so explore and be a diva this Navratri.
Makeup and Hair
So the most important aspect of the whole, which can make and spoil you look. So be very careful with you makeup- if you are choosing red lips to go for suttle eyes and base- be it during day or night. If you want your eyes to do all the talk keep your lips pale pink or nude. Peach and pink makeup always work with any outfit and go for your day and night function. Try to keep your hair natural like staright or soft curls, or a puff- you can go for normal messy-back-hairdo with saree and put a gajra on it.
So ladies what are you waiting for, go ahead and lock your looks for the upcoming nine days.
