It is on the banks of Sindhu river, in the year 1922 the last bits of the ancient city Mohenjo Daro were excavated. And today the story of this ancient city has been brought back to life by the great Director Ashutosh Gawarikar.

The plot of this sotry is as follows , Hritik Roshan charecterised as Serman in the film , is a young lad from a very small village. One day expresses his desire to accompany his fellow villagers to Mohenjo Daro to trade stones. His uncle that is Nitesh Bhardwaj doesn’t allow him to go there. Finally one fine day he gets his wish granted to go to Mohenjo Daro and when he reaches their he gets a taste of every flavour a film has to portray, action, emotions , drama, romance, dance , music, suspence etc..etc..

Serman accidently falls in love with the daughter of the Priest in Mohenjo Daro who is on the verge of tying the know with the son of Chief their. So what happens as the story unfolds gradually…? Does Serman finds his true love?..Does he gets answers to the riddles and dreams he has in mind…?..and most importantly why was his uncle preventing him to come to Mohenjo Daro?…The answers to these questions lies in the movie.

And to get those answers of course you have to watch this movie because I don’t tell the stor of the film. I just review them and carry out a small significant post mortem on them.

Lets see what Ashutosh Gwariker is trying to depict in his movie. First and foremost what catches everyone`s eyes is the Big and huge artificial set. Ashutosh Gwarikor has tried show casing the ancent culture and ancient ways of living thorugh aspects like things being exchanged through barter system, weapons made of stone, the ancient costumes and jwellary worn by people in those days. Although he lacked a few poits when it comes to women dressing and makeovers, and it can be percieved that the women makeover presentation was abit advanced.

At one point he has even gone to the extent of showing a swimming pool with blue water but tha would be different if his research was thorough on it. The story doesn’t have any striking edge. The direction seems to be ok as well. But yes if you are fond of watching big artificial but beautiful sets then you might go for it. Although the film has excellent cinematography but the movie has a ver slow pace. For all those who don’t remember anything about Mohenjo Daro when you studide about it, this film might refresh your memory.

Now if we talk about the performance of actors there was nothing new in the acing of Hritik Roshan it was nothing new. If you ask me it was same old!!..same old!!. Pooa Hegde did well but nothing out of the box. Kabir Bedi did well as played Chief in this film. All in all I can say 2.5 stars ot of 5.
