Hey Friends, have we ever thought of the Bravehearts who sacrificed their lives for our country. Well, here I Renuka bring the movie talk of today’s release RAAZI. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the main star cast of the film includes Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. This is a spy thriller film based on real life story. The era shown in this film is of 1971 when Indo-Pak war took place.
The film is based on a novel -“ calling sehmat “ by Harinder Sikka. It showcases the life of some brave soldiers who lived for our country India however their name never came into the lime-light in the history of India. They were the patriots in real terms.
RAAZI is very well directed by Meghna Gulzar. She had proved the quality of her direction the movie Talvar, which was based on Ayushi murder case. In Raazi also she continued to keep her image untouched.
The film is very thrilling and some scenes give goosebumps. It also leaves the audience with many questions that are uncomfortable and indigestible. However we cannot comment on them as the story is based on real life incidents.
The background music of the film is very captive and suits the plot. Shankar Ehsaan Loy have done a fantastic job here. Cinematography by Jay Patel is good and he is able to create India and Pakistan of 1970’s.
Screenplay of the film is good and keeps the audience glued to their seats.
The film has also told the source of information about the submarine war between PNS GHAZI and INS VIKRANT Shown in the film Ghazi Attack. RAAZI has shown the confidential way of working of Intelligence bureau.
Dialogues are also by Meghna Gulzar and she continues the legacy of her father Gulzar saheb.
Talking about the performances, 3 Cheers for Alia Bhatt for her commendable performance in the role of Sehmat- a 19 year old brave girl. Alia is getting polished as a star day by day. Vicky Kaushal also has done well. All the other star cast like Rajit kapoor and Soni Razdan have small yet valuable contribution in the film. Kudos to the director Meghna Gulzar !
Raazi is a kind of film that might not do well on single screens or as a commercial film. However who so ever watches it would definitely utter WOW.
Watch is for Alia’s magnificent performance.
