Long weekend gives more audience to the films and on this Wednesday two big films are released -Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer KAABIL & Shahrukh Khan starrer RAEES.
Let me take RAEES for the review first. It has been produced by Ritesh Gidwani, Farhan Akhtar and Gauri Khan. It is written by a team of four people. Shah Rukh Khan is in the lead role as Raees, Pakistani artist Mahira as Raees’s wife, Nawazuddin Siddiqui Khan as Superintendent of Police Jaideep Ambalal Majumdar and Jeeshan Ayub as Raees’s friend Sadiq.
The film’s plot is based on a man named RAEES who is involved in the illicit liquor trade in Gujarat. How Raees entered the liquor business while getting punished by Madam Ratna in the school. How he did his first job in this business? How he climbed the stairs to the top in business? How he became to make a Massiah of the poor, by what reasons the Chief Minister became his friend? How Raees fights the election from jail and won? and Why superintendent of police Majumdar shot him dead?
To know the answers to all these questions, you will have to see the movie because I don’t tell the story of the film, I only review it. Now, let’s see the movie from my point of view. As I said it is written by a team of four people, who have tried to put all the spices in the film- Illegal trade of alcohol, romance, riots, bomb blast, politics. Maybe it could be a major reason resulting-in giving the viewers weak grip on the film.
Film has so many loo breaks or I can say that whenever you feel you can go. Am sure you won’t regret for it. Rahul Dholakia has failed to give a reasonable speed to the movie. If I talk about performances, then Shahrukh Khan has given his best however Nawazuddin’s performance was heavy on him. There is nothing special about Mahira Khan. Jeeshan Ayub in Sadiq’s role is fulfilling. The rest of the actors are also fine in their roles.
Cinematography is good and music is also fine. Producers can recover their money because of the star cast like Shahrukh. This is a one time Watch movie. My rating to RAEES is 2.5 out of 5. Till then stay connected to my channel for more movie reviews and latest Bollywood news.
