Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is an upcoming Bollywood drama film by Aanand L Rai. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Padnekar and is the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie Kalyana Samayal Saadham.
A few days back the makers release the teaser of the film which talks about not hot Sugandha (Bhumi) and not cool Mudit (Ayushmann). Now the makers have released the official trailer of the movie which will take you to a laughter riot.
Ayushmann found fame with sperm donation, now it seems erectile dysfunction will take him places too. In an almost three-minutes video, there is so much small-town India flavour that you will be watching it again and again.
The crux of the film is about erectile dysfunction but it also deals with how premarital sex between consenting adults is still a taboo in our society, the man and women relationship and how our country is changing when nobody is looking.
In the recently released trailer, we have seen Bhumi and Ayushmann playing a perfect desi couple. Bhumi portrays the rustic desi woman, who lives in a very traditional set-up but has a voice of her own and know what she wants. Where Ayushamann plays Mudit, a young salesman who is way less confident than his woman.
The film is their second venture together after ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is directed by RS Prasanna, who also directed the original Tamil film ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’. ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ is slated to release on September 1.
