A big day for Harshvardhan Kapoor , son of Anil Kapoor as he debues in the film Mirzya, which is realeasing today. This film has been directed by RaKesh Om Prakash Mehra and Produced by Rohit Khattar, Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra, P.S Bharti and Rajiv Tandon nei. Written by Gulzar, this film is based on the famous folk tale oF Punjab, the tale of Mirza Sahiba.
Starcast includes Harshvardhan Chowdhary as Munish and Adil, Saiyami Kher as Suchitra, Anjali Patil as Zeenat and Anuj Chowdhary as Karan other significant cast includes Om Puri, K.K Raina and Art Malik. The story starts with the childhood of Munish and Suchi where it is shown that there is a great chemistry twixst them but due to unfortunate circumstances they fall apart only to meet again after quiet a long time. But this time the situation is weird because Suchitra is getting married to Prince Karan.But even after a such long romance sparks up between the two. This fact reaches the ears of Karan`s father and he doesn’t take it in a good way. Then one fine day Karan takes Adil who is also Munish for hunting. There Karan trecherously fires a shot at Adil. So what happens then?..Does adil dies? ….Does Karan succeeds in achieving what he wants?…Do Suchitra and Adil get together again?.
This is where I would say that you need to go and watch the film by yourself. Because I am not the person who tells the story of the film, I am the one who gives my review on it. So now lets take a quick look at the film from my perception. There were a lot of expectations from this film but the film proceeds well till the first half an hour but after that it just lost its path. The thing is , the film has a two stories which are proceeding simultaneously one is the story of Adil and Suchitra and te other one is of Mirza Galib . Now it is not easy to show two sories runnig parallel and then show a relation between them . and this is where the story got hogged.
Talking about acting, for his first film Harshvardha Kapoor did quiet well and as time passes he will become even better. Saiyami Kher is a very good model but is she a very good actress? Because I didn’t find any synchronization between her expressions and her dialouges. Somwhere the chemistry between Suchi and Munish is hazey and diminished. Nothing special in the work of Anuj Chowdhary, Om Puri failed to leave an imact with his work as there was nothing much for him. Appreciation awaits Anjali Patil as her hardwork ad talent can be seen from her on screen work. Art malik did full justice to his charectar as well, not to forget the child who played the charctar of Munish as a kid his work also turns heads.
This film has perfect locations, and great compostion and treatment of scenes. Credit should be given to Cinematography as well but a car cant run on one wheel can it?…Cinematography alone cant win laurels for a film. It is 2.5 stars out of 5 from my side.
