Nowadays Indian films have to face a lot of trouble be it related to censor board certification, activist objection related to the historical content or any other legal trouble these things are usual in Bollywood. But this time, not the Bollywood movie, Rajinikanth’s Kaala Karikaalan is in legal trouble.
Producer K Rajashekaran accuses makers of stealing story and title. Recently, Bollywood movie Raabta faced legal consequences as the makers of the movie Magadheera put allegation of story plagiarism but later withdraws the case.
It was not the first time, Rajinikanth’s Kaala Karikaalan was also halter between the Haji Mastan allegation and as soon they cleared themselves off, comes along another one.
As per PTI reports, producer K Rajasjekaran has filed a petition against the makers of Rajini’s film. The producer claimed that the story and title are originally his and belonged to his company GSR Vinmeen Creations.
He also stated that he narrated his story to Sathyanarayana, the leader of Rajnikanth fan association. Producer K Rajashekaran also said that he had also planned to make a film on the Chola emperor Kalikalan.
The producer, with respect to the title, has also claimed that he had registered the title with the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce but the institution didn’t renew his registration and allegedly bend their rules for ‘certain influential people’.
On it, the city court has asked the team of Thalaiva’s film Kaala Karikaalan team to respond to these allegations by June 15. Not only this, the producer also has a sought a restraint on the film to discontinue shooting.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth was in Mumbai for the first schedule shooting and the second shoot is expected to take place in Chennai. Thalaiva plays a Tamil gangsta in this film and got fans excited for the movie already after he released the film’s first look poster. The film is slated for a 2018 release.
