Today there have been a lot of releases, but the film I picked up for today`s review is Banjo. A Big banner, big star cast film Banjo has been directed by the known Marathi Director Ravi Jadhav and Produced by Krishika Lulla. This film has been written by Kapil Sawant, Nikhil Malhotra and Ravi Jadhav. Main star cast includes Ritesh Deshmukh ad Nargis Fakri.
A resident of a slum, Ritesh Deshmukh works as a extortionist for the local leader over there, apart from being a extortionist Ritesh also plays banjo with three of his friends. On the other hand A residnet of New York , Nargis Fakri comes to India in search of a Banjo band and she meets Ritesh. Ritesh and Fakri perform together o various occasions. All is well till Ritesh is arrested by the cops on the charge of attempt to murder. With a broken dream in hand Nargis returns to New York. Does Nargis succeeds in fulfilling her dream?..Does Ritesh gets a clean chit?…Is he able to performe again at a bigger level? To get the answers to these questions you need to go and watch the film. Because I wont be telling you the whole story, I will just be giving you my reviews on it.
Now lets take the story from my point of view. The script of this film has been written by three people but it is unclear till the end that what are the three writers trying to show or say in the film. The film has flopped from the direction point of view as well. Nothing acceptional from the stars acting in it. Neither Ritesh Deshmuk or Nargi Fakhri did anyhting out of the box, although Nargis could have used this film to attain a milestone in her acting carrier.
Nothing remarkable from the cinematography pont of view. The music and songs are ok . If you ask me this movie is a complete waste of time and not at all your money`s worth.
