Bollywood Hits Of The Year 2017 So Far

Earlier we discussed the Bollywood’s biggest flop of the year 2017 so far, now let’s discuss the most celebrated movies of the year. Half of the year passed and we witnessed many big releases some let us down and some even crossed the mark of 500 crores. So here is the list of biggest hits of the past half year.

Baahubali: The Conclusion

The ‘baap’ of all movies, Baahubali 2 collected 515 crores and just the Hindi dubbed version has gone way past the 500 crore mark. The movie has taken the game to a different league altogether and set the benchmark for the industry, which will be almost impossible to achieve by any other Hindi film this year.

Raees

The film was released in the beginning, not the best of the entertainers and also clashed with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, yet made some money. Raees collected 137.51 crores at the box office starring Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan.

Jolly LLB2

Akshay Kumar’s first release of the year was Jolly LLB 2, the actor who is known for his versatility ensure that his films are made in quick time and at the lesser cost. The movie crosses the 100 crore mark and collected 117 crores. The film made four times what the first film made at the box-office.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania

The Jodi proved thrice lucky Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt after Student Of The Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania all did well at the box office. This year released Badrinath Ki Dulhania earned 116.60 crores at the box-office.

Kaabil

The film defied predictions of doom and eventually scored a century. Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil clashed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees but able collect 103.84 crores.

 Hindi Medium

The film saw Irrfan Khan in a different avatar and splendid performance of Pakistani actress Saba Qamar. The film based on the corruption in the Education system of the country. Hindi Medium rose from disappointing opening day collection of 2.82 crores to score 62 crores. A well deserved success and it resorted one’s faith in Saket Chaudhary’s film.

Half Girlfriend

A Mohit Suri film based on the Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name. though Half Girlfriend fails to impress the audience but earned a good amount of 60.25 crores at the BO.

 Sachin- A Billion Dreams

A documentary film on the life of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar earned about 52 crores during its 10-days run at the box-office.

Naam Shabana

This prequel of 2015 released film Baby surprised many by its more than a decent showing at the box office. Naam Shabana 37.25 crore.
