Dear Maya is an upcoming film written and directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar. It is the comeback movie of actress Manish Koirala who is playing Maya. The official trailer of the movie has released where we can see two teenage kids Ira and Anna, who are best friends and lives in Shimla.
They girls were intrigued by an old, abandoned Bungalow near their house where a woman named Maya Devi (Manisha Koirala) lives. Maya Devi hasn’t stepped out for 20 years and the reason is that there is no one to love her.
When she was of marriageable age, there were many suitors but no one agreed to marry her and that made her angry, bitter and retreat from the world. Knowing this the two girls Anna and Ira decide to write a fake love letters to Maya Devi, pretending to be one of the suitors she met 20 years before.
The letter makes Maya Devi happy, she gets transformed by the letters and decides to sell everything and movie to Delhi to meet her suitor. This makes Anna horrified and wants to confess everything to Maya Devi but Ira refuses.
Maya Devi left Shimla for Delhi and then we saw one of those girls putting missing posters of Maya Devi. The trailer seems interesting and the film features Manisha Koirala, Mahida Imam, Shreya Chaudhry, Rohit Saraf, Irawati Harshe and Sahil Shroff in main roles.
The film is slated to hit theaters on June 2. Where as Manisha will be seen playing Nargis Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt.
