Maatr is an upcoming Indian revenge thriller film written by Michael Pellico and directed by Ashtar Sayed. The movie is about a mother who fought against all odds to seek justice for her daughter. Vidya whose daughter Tia got raped and was dead after that incident.
When all the doors of justice closed, as the criminals are from a powerful and political background, then a mother takes law in her hands to take revenge and seek justice for her daughter’s rape and death. The movie is also about powerful people and how they misuse it, about the social issues of increasing rape cases and Delhi becoming the rape capital of the country.
The film was shot in Delhi and Haryana and the makers of Maatr released it’s trailer today after the two posters released. The film will also mark as Raveena Tandon’s comeback movie and she is justifying her role.
Even Bollywood biggies also talking about the movie and her acting skills. Filmmaker Karan Johar is speaking highly about her role in the movie. He tweeted and wrote, “Strong and solid Raveena Tandon in ace from and top gear, Releasing on 21st April.”
Apart from Karan, many other actors took to Twitter to applaud and congratulate Raveena, like Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty, Manish Malhotra, Dia Mirza, Sonu Sood, Farah Khan and Raba Daggubatti.
Maatr is all set to release on April 21, 2017.
