Today’s second release is Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which is directed by R S Prasanna and produced by Aanand L Rai. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role, the film is the Hindi remake of 2013 release Tamil film Kalyana Samayal Saadham.
The story of the film revolves around Mudit Sharma, plays by Ayushmann and Sugandha aka Bhumi. Bhumi wants to do a love marriage but Mudit never says anything to her, so on her mother’s insist she sends him a request on online site of match making. Both the family agrees to the relationship but Bhumi’s dream of love marriage shattered.
There is another twist in the film, as Mudit has a gents problems i.e erectile dysfunction, due to which he consulted many doctors and traditional intros. To add the more twist, this problem of Mudit opens up in front of everyone a few days before his marriage.
So, will this problem of Mudit be cured? How did all the people come to know about this problem? Does his marriage break off with Sugandha? Does Sugandha’s dream of love marriage come true?
To know all the answers to these questions you need to watch the film, as I am here to review the film not to tell you the story. So let’s see the film from my perspective.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is light hearted comedy drama movie, the story of Hitesh Kewalya, the direction of R S Prasanna both are incremental and you will also love the dialogues of the film.
If we talk about acting, there is no artist who over or under performed. We have seen Ayushamna and Bhumi together before in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, in that movie they performed great and had a good chemistry. You will experience the same in this film as well.
The cinematography of the film is also good, Rakesh Dhawan has captured the streets of Delhi and Haridwar very well and beautifully in his camera. If you want complete entertainment, so this is the movie for you. My rating for this film is 3 out of 5.
