2 December 2016, toda is the release date of Jayanti Lal and Sujoy Ghosh Produced Kahani 2. And let me tell you friends, it is not a sequel, it is a stand alone new story. This movie is based on the Satyajit Ray`s Detective series Felu Da.
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Written by Sujoy Ghosh and Suresh Nayyar this film has Arjun Rampal and Vidya Balan in the lead. The supporting cast includes Jugal Hansraj, Naisha Khanna and Tunisha Sharma.
A Perfect thriller movie which wont allow you to miss even a single frame. Not from the comparing point of view but I felt this movie was a bit better thant the Kahani released in 2012.
The plot of this movie is as follows, Durga Rani Singh is at a office job in a school where she finds Mini, a sad and a silent little girl. Even the teachers have complained about the child. But Durga Rani gets a strange hint from the child which indicates that Mini is a victim of child abuse. Since she herself has been a victim of the same trauma she decides to sought out this matter. And in doing so she drops down at Mini`s home where she meets her grand mother and uncle. She goes to the police, attempts are even made to kill her but she is lucky enough to escape those attempts. Unfortunately Mini`s Grandmother dies at the hands of Durga and then Durga goes absconding with Mini, changing her nahe and identity.
Now the question is who was tormenting or traumatising the 11 year old Mini?, Who was the person who had abused Durga Rani when she was young? Who tried to kill Durga Singh? Are the police able to capture the culprits? All these question will only be answered when you go and watch the movie, because I am not gonna tell you the entire story , I just give my reviews on it.
Now looking at the film fro mmy perception , the film is giving a social message on child abuse. The movie indicates to the fact that the people who encourage these types of anti-social activities should get rid of them.
The film has a perfect and crisp scrrenplay and Sujoy Ghosh`s Direction is equally wonderful. Not even a single frame goes wasted . It seems that Sujoy Ghosh perfectly knows that a good screenplay and a good direction is the life and soul of a good film. Every actor has done full justice to his or her charectar. Kudos to Tapan Basu for his wonderful cinematography.
The songs of this movie run in the background and give a boost to te film. Overall this is a must watch movie and it gets four out of five stars from my side. But a question still remains in my mid. Where did the bodies of Durga Rani and Mini go?
