Today is a very big day for the box office. Two big movies Rustam and Mohenjo Daro are all prepped up tp lock horns today. Keeping in mind the triple holiday bunch of 13th, 14th and 15th august the Producers decided to to launch their films in the arena.
Lets take Rustam for reviewing. This film has long list of producers. First and formost the Director of “Wednesday”, “Special 26” and “Baby” Mr. Neeraj Pandey, Arun Bhatia, Nitin Keni, Akash Chawla, Ishwer Kappor, Vijendra Arora and Sheetal Bhatia. Written by Vipul Rawal and Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai this film has a star cast of Akshay Kumar as Naval Officer Rustam Pawri, Aliena De Cruz as his wife Cynthia, Arjun Baweja as Vikram makhija, Isha Gupta as Vikram Makhija`s sister and Pawan Malhotra as investigation officer Logo.
Now coming to the plot, Rustam Pawri comes across the fact that his wife and Vikram are having a secret affair and after being aware of this discreet affair he kills Vikram. The navy decides to keep him under their custody in order to prevent him from staying in a cold ad dark police cell. But Rustam is adament enough to stay in the police lock up and decides to fight his own case single handedly.
What are the consequences of Rustam`s descisions?…Does the court sentence him for murder or does he go free? All these questions await answers till the time you go and watch the film all by yourself. Because like before I wont be telling you the story , I would just be giving my reviews on it. And thus carry a a post mortem on the film.
The film has a very simple story. Nothing new in it. But what is worth giving attetion is the treatment. A strong screenplay and great Direction . The film had its grasp on the audience all the time, and the grasp or the hold can be seen till the end.
Kudos to Tinu Suresh Desai on an outstanding job as a Director. Talking about on screen performance all the actors where flexible and even versatile enough to give a mind blowing performance. Be it Akshay Kumar or his on screen wife Alenna De cruz, Pawan Malhotra, Usha Natkerni, Anand Desai, Sachin Khedkar, Arjun Baweja and Isha Gupta and eve the “Jai Ho” boy Naman Jain not only gave a eye catching performance but also made their presence significant in the film in their very own ways.
