Actress Rhea Sharma who rose fame from the movie M.S. Dhoni. The actress roped in to play the lead in the second season of popular serial ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’. The actress will play the role of Sooraj and Sandhya’s daughter Kanak Rathi in the upcoming show ‘Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji’.
The actress says she considers it a huge pressure on herself to take the legacy of ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’. The show has taken 20 years of leap as after Sooraj and Sandhya death in the last episode of the popular show, this show will focus on the life of their children Kanak, Ved, and Vansh.
Actress Rhea Sharma said, “It’s a huge pressure on me to take the show’s legacy forward. Sooraj and Sandhya’s daughter Kanak Rathi will have qualities of both her parents and the story is her journey to win over love from her beloved grandmother Bhabho”.
She added further, “I’m excited and I wish we get the same love that audiences gave to season one.”
Where actress Rhea Sharma will be seen playing the role of Kanak Rathi, actors like Mayank Arora and Kabeer Kumar will be seen as Ved and Vansh Rathi. Neelu Vaghela will reprise her role of Bhabho.
On it, Neelu said, “The kind of family issues you saw in the first season that will be in the coming show as well. The love, care, arguments among the family members which we showed through ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, we are retaining that for the second season.”
‘Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji” will be aired on Star Plus at 1 pm from April 3.
