Be it saas-baahu draam or series on social issues, these daily soaps or weekend series conatins special place in Indian households. But in recent times, the face of television is changing. They star serving varities to its viewers apart from monotonus saas-baahu drama or love story, like serial on social issues, fiction shows, art shows like PoW, etc.
Likewise Indian television is also changing the meaning of beauty and channel like Star Plus with its Nayi Soch is doing the same. We have seen shows where a dark skin girl becomes every one’s favourite (dark skin is a tabboo at some places in the country), we have seen shows like where a girl is not just a house wife she has successful career and fights against all odds.
Now our Indian television have onemore new concept to break all the sterotypes of our society in terms of body image. Star plus have come up with a show ‘Dhai Kilo Prem’ a story of two oversized people with different thinking and nature falling in love.

Bharti Singh- Actor-comedian Bharti Singh doesn’t need any introduction. She is the most famous female standup comedian of the country. She did many Punjabi and Hindi films and soon going to tie knot with fiance Haarsh Limbbachiya. The couple is also a part of Nach Baliye season 8 and is the highest paid couple of all the contestants on the show.
Neha Lakshmi Iyer- Best known as Saumya of Ishqbaaz and Dil Bole Oberoi. The actress had been part of many popular television soap opera. Her cute and innocent look wins many hearts, the actress started her carrer at the age of six as a child artist in a Zee TV’s serial ‘Banegi Apni Baat’.
