Though the content of this show of MTV is bold but have highlighted various social issues, and showcased all aspects of an individual’s feelings and need be it emotional, physical, mental or in terms of society.
After the success of MTV’s ‘Big F’, makers of the show is coming up with its second season. And in one of the episodes, they will explore a love story of a Transgender.
As per the sources, actress Annie Gill will play a transgender in the television series. The story is about a transgender woman Madhu, who is disowned by her father.
When asked about her role, Annie said, “It was a strong and challenging phase of my life where I got to portray the role of a transgender. I chose to play the character of Madhu and Madhav to test my capabilities as an experienced actor. Everything associated with a transgender’s identity is a very sensitive issue in India.”
She added that through the show, they have tried to highlight the issue aesthetically. Annie said, “We are trying to create an awareness through this brave story”.
Actor Sidharth Karnick will be seen opposite Ginnie Gill. The show revolves around Madhu, who was born a transgender and named Madhav. Madhu fantasizes about a male model named Sameer, played by Siddhanth Karnick.
And Sameer too develops a soft corner for Madhu and expresses his love her. On it, Siddhant said, “Transgenders and their sexuality are a hushed topic in India. Just like us, transgenders too have needs and it’s about time someone spoke about it. This episode shows not only how transgenders feel but also the conflict and dilemma that those who love them go through.”
It is sure that the show is going to be a good watch and hope it will be able to break society’s stereotype belief.
